Many of my designs are inspired by the old steel mills, rails, bridges and industrial ports that define the ‘working’ landscape of this region.

These now abandoned sites are particularly interesting to me in the context of modernity. As industry gives way to technology, these structures give way to human neglect. They become the property of the elements and this is where both intellectually and aesthetically they become fascinating subjects.
