After a lifetime of interest and studies in the arts, Peter Billington earned his BA in painting from Cleveland State University in 1995. Other influences include studies abroad at Parsons School of Design, Paris France and studies in glass painting, including replication of traditional techniques, for five years under the renowned master glass painter, Richard Millard, at the Millard Studios.

Peter worked for Whitney Stained Glass Studio for over nine years with mentor James Whitney and then purchased the studio in 2007.  He has used his painting skills on such masters including: Connick, Zettler, Wright and Mayer Studios window restorations, matching style and painting plates. He is also skilled at repairing bad and deteriorated paint by reverse painting on cover glass over the original, as done for the face in the Tiffany Studio “Good Shephard” window at Church of the Covenant. 

His true expression is revealed in his new work. Working with glass, paint and lead has been a lifelong passion and creative outlet.
